The publication by VLB Editeur of a bilingual edition of Miss Emily et la Mort [1984] by Michael Harris was a Canadian breakthrough. For the very first time, a francophone publisher presented a book by an English Quebec poet.
Michael Harris has written six books of poetry, including New and Selected Poems (1994). He has edited several anthologies, most recently The Signal Anthology of Contemporary Canadian Poetry (1993; 2nd ed. 1997).
